March 1992 – Charles James and Joe Berndt founded BowHaus Inc. At the time, film was king and Eastman Kodak was on the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Digital Imaging was in it’s infancy and Adobe Photoshop had been introduced only a few years earlier.

Recognizing the opportunity and envisioning the future, BowHaus was one of the first “digital only” photo labs in the world. Our company mission was to bring together art and technology to create solutions that provide both high value and craftsmanship.

Today, we continue the tradition with Limited Edition Fine Art Printmaking. Our archival pigment prints hang in galleries and private collections around the world. Digital Retouching remains one of our specialties, and for traditional film photographers and archivists, we offer high resolution Crosfield Drum Scans and digital LVT transparencies and negatives.
