IJC/OPM™ Profiles for UltraChrome K3™ Inks
Three different types of beta IJC/OPM™ Profiles are included:
Tri-Tone: No color inks are used for these profiles. Prints with these profiles have a very slight warm tone which is characteristic of a ‘carbon’ inkjet print. We recorded a 1.80 DMAX on Epson Enhanced Matte paper with one of these profiles.
Inks used are:
- Light-Light Black
- Light Black
- Black
Neutral: We’ve added Light Cyan and Light Magenta to neutralize the warmth of a Tri-Tone Profile. We've also achieved a 1.80 DMAX on Epson Enhanced Matte paper with one of these profiles.
Inks used are:
- Light-Light Black
- Light Black
- Black
- Light Magenta
- Light Cyan
No Black (Glossy Papers ONLY): We have been able to achieve a 2.23 DMAX on Kirkland Glossy with one of these profiles! This is a unique method that blends Light Black, Cyan and Magenta to achieve black without the use of Photo Black (or any black!) on Glossy papers. Bypassing the black ink lets you switch from matte to glossy papers without the waste of switching out the Matte Black cart for a Photo Black cart!
There are slightly warm ‘carbon’ No Black variations with the following inks:
- Light-Light Black
- Light Black
- Cyan
- Magenta
... as well as Neutral No Black variations with the following inks:
- Light-Light Black
- Light Black
- Light Cyan
- Cyan
- Light Magenta
- Magenta
